With over 10 years of murder mystery experience, A Stab in the Dark Murder Mysteries promises something for everyone, whether youre a closet Morse, a secret Marple, or someone who just wants to enjoy excellent entertainment over a dinner.

Twisting plots, fiendish red herrings, gruesome murder and more than a few laughs await you, whether you are on one of our public events, a private party or corporate event.

With loads of plots to choose from, from modern day thrillers to the roaring 20s, from the rock n roll era of the 1950s to the backstabbing boardroom, there's a theme for every event. Why not come in fancy dress and maybe win a prize for the best costume?

We can be flexible to fit with your needs, but typically a murder mystery dinner follows the format below. The majority of the action and questioning takes place between courses, with certain evidence and some scenarios taking place during the courses.

Suspects arrive and meet the guests in the bar/meeting point prior to dinner.
Arrival of the Inspector, announcement of the murder, first clues and the interrogation begins.

Starter
Suspects are questioned further as more evidence becomes known.

Main Course
The plot thickens and red herrings abound as twists are revealed and the suspects are further questioned.

Dessert
A final chance to use your little grey cells to sift the guilty from the innocent.
Coffee, and the opportunity to put your deductions to paper.

The murderer (or murderers) are revealed, prizes are awarded, and justice is served!

What do you need to arrange?
For a private event, you would need to arrange the venue and catering, and we bring the entertainment and prizes. Ideally we would need a room at the venue in which to get changed, but we can work around this if not possible.

Egypt, 1924. In the Valley of the Queens, Howard Cutter, eminent archaeologist, has finally discovered the extravagant long-lost tomb of Queen Yummi. Untouched for 3,000 years, the tomb is filled with gold and precious stones, and promises to reveal knowledge of a lesser-known period of ancient Egyptian history.

However, the entrance to the tomb was inscribed with a curse against any who disturbed the Queen’s last resting place, and death is about to strike someone involved in the discovery…

It is 1923, at the wake after the funeral of Sir Alexander Flute: prominent businessman, philanthropist and politician. Friends and family members are gathered to give the elder statesman a good send-off and reminisce about his life.
However, certain members of the family are keen to find out the contents of his Will, tensions in some quarters are high, and family secrets are about to be uncovered.
